ScalpShade
ScalpShade is a scalp colouring treatment that involves rubbing the scalp with fine dots. It is a technique that creates dots by allowing fine ampoules to penetrate the scalp in countless microscopic dots. It covers gaps in the scalp that lack hair density, such as the hairline, crown, and partings.
When viewed with the naked eye, the treatment produces dots that look similar to actual hair roots, so it has the advantage of being highly satisfying as a natural treatment. It is also safe as it is applied at shallow depths, around 0.5~0.8mm into the scalp, and does not wash off by water, so it remains semi-permanent,
ScalpShade is a sophisticated procedure that quickly creates very small dots and is performed easily and without causing irritation. Since the ampoule does not penetrate into the hair roots, there are few side effects after the procedure and there is no significant irritation during the procedure, making it the most reasonable and safe procedure among non-surgical hair loss treatments and scar treatments.
ScalpShade FAQ
Is there a way to prevent side effects?
Most side effects, where reported, result from an inexperienced operator injecting the ampoule too deep into the scalp, causing a large, blue spot that looks like a bruise.
Hand pressure, needle length, and ampoule injection amount must be adjusted carefully and appropriately at all times.
Is ScalpShade safe to do before a hair transplant?
Since ScalpShade and hair transplantation are different procedures, it is safe to use ScalpShade before a hair transplant. However, going through both procedures in quick succession may put too much pressure on the scalp. Thus, it could be safer to leave a sufficient time gap between the two procedures. Conversely, it is safe to perform a ScalpShade treatment on scars after a hair transplant.
Do I have to shave my head for the procedure?
You don’t have to shave or cut your hair unless you are getting the treatment to cover a completely bald head. We do not recommend using ScalpShade to cover a completely bald head.
How should I cover up side effects from procedures done at another clinic?
In some cases, you can use ScalpShade to cover uneven spots on the scalp caused by side effects resulting from procedures done at another clinic. However, if the pigment has penetrated too deep into the scalp, you may need to remove the coloring with a laser treatment before using ScalpShade.
*after laser removal wait 1 month
Do I have to lie down for the ScalpShade procedure?
You can get your ScalpShade treatment while sitting in a hair-staying chair instead of lying down in a bed.
Can I get a ScalpShade treatment and scalp scaling at the same time?
We recommend you get your scalp scaling treatment done at least 3 days before using ScalpShade.
Will I need any retouching?
Typically, 1 treatment can sufficiently fill out your scalp. Therefore, retouching is unnecessary, but if you would like retouching, we can do so after 4 weeks.
What if the color doesn’t seem vivid enough?
When getting a hairline treatment, you need to remove enough sebum for best results.
-get rid of the oil first before procedure
-use regular shampoo before the procedure
